What restaurant sofas do we make?
We make six kinds of restaurant sofa seating: booths, L-shaped booths, U-shaped booths, curved booths, straight banquettes and lounge sofas. Each one can be built in your size, with your choice of frame and fabric. Pick the shape that fits your room and how your guests like to sit.
Restaurant booth seating. A dining booth sofa with a tall back and a table in front. It gives each group some privacy. Good for family restaurants and busy dining halls.
L-shaped booth. Fits into a corner and seats more people in less space. Corners are often empty in a restaurant. This booth puts them to work.
U-shaped booth. Wraps around a round or square table. Good for big groups, birthdays and family lunches.
Curved booth. A soft, round shape that looks good in cafés and lounges. It also makes a tight room feel less boxy.
Straight banquette seating. A long bench along the wall with tables in front. It is the best way to fit many guests in a narrow space. Also called wall-side seating.
High-back lounge sofa. A deeper seat and taller back for bars, lounges and waiting areas. Guests stay longer on these, so comfort matters most here.
We also make café sofas and upholstered benches in matching fabric, so your whole room looks planned.
Which seating type is right for your restaurant?
Fixed seating such as booths and banquettes fits more guests per square metre. Loose lounge sofas feel more relaxed but take more room. Most restaurants use a mix. Put banquettes along the walls, booths in the corners and loose sofas where guests wait or linger.

How big should a restaurant booth or banquette be?
A restaurant booth needs about 50 cm (20 inches) of bench length for each guest. Seat height is usually 45 to 48 cm, and seat depth is 40 to 48 cm. The back is 90 to 107 cm tall from the floor. A table in front sits at about 75 cm.
|
Measurement |
Common range |
Why it matters |
|
Bench length per guest |
About 50 cm (20 in) |
Gives each person enough elbow room |
|
2-seater booth length |
About 120 cm |
Comfortable for two without squeezing |
|
3-seater booth length |
About 150 cm |
Three guests on one side |
|
Seat height |
45 to 48 cm (18 to 19 in) |
Lets guests sit and stand with ease |
|
Seat depth |
40 to 48 cm (16 to 19 in) |
Deeper feels softer, shallower saves floor space |
|
Back height from floor |
90 cm (36 in) to 107 cm (42 in) |
Low backs feel open. Tall backs feel private. |
|
Table height |
About 75 cm |
The gap from seat to table is about 30 cm |
The most common mistake is a seat that is too deep for the table. Guests then sit too far from their food. We check your table size before we cut a single piece of foam.
What goes inside a Mr Sofa restaurant sofa?
Every restaurant sofa has three parts that decide how long it lasts: the frame, the foam and the cover. We let you choose each one. Cheap versions of any of the three wear out fast in a busy restaurant, so we tell you the trade-offs before you decide.
Frame: wooden frame or metal frame
A wooden frame feels warm and holds screws well. It suits classic and Chesterfield looks. A metal frame is slim and strong. It suits modern cafés and rooms where you want a lighter look. We can also mix both: a metal base with a wooden back, for example.
Foam: why density matters
Foam density tells you how much material is packed into the foam. Denser foam keeps its shape longer. Many commercial seating specs use seat foam of about 35 to 50 kg per cubic metre and a lighter foam, about 24 to 32 kg, for backs. Soft, low-density foam feels nice on day one and goes flat in a few months.
Cover: what guests touch every day
Restaurant sofas get spills, bags, buttons, keys and hundreds of guests. Pick the cover for the job.

How do we make a custom restaurant sofa?
We make a custom restaurant sofa in five steps: you share your plan, we suggest a design, you approve the fabric, we build it, and we deliver it. You talk to the same team from start to finish. We confirm the timeline in your quote, because it depends on size and quantity.
- Share your plan. Send your floor plan, seat count and a few photos or style ideas by WhatsApp or email. A phone photo of the room is fine.
- We suggest a design. We tell you which shape, size, frame and foam we would pick, and why.
- You approve fabric and price. You see fabric options and a written quote. Nothing starts until you say yes.
- We build it. Our team makes the frame, fits the foam and does the upholstery. We check the stitching and finish before it leaves.
- We deliver and fit. We bring it to your restaurant on the date we agreed.
Do you take wholesale and bulk orders?
Yes. We supply restaurant sofas in bulk to restaurant owners, café chains, interior designers and hotel projects. Ordering many pieces at once lowers the price per piece and keeps every sofa the same colour and size. Tell us how many outlets you are fitting out and we will plan it with you.
This suits you if you are:
- opening a new restaurant or café
- fitting out several outlets with one look
- an interior designer who needs a maker for a client's project
- replacing worn seating before a relaunch
We can also work from your designer's drawings and match a colour or fabric you have already chosen.
Why Delhi restaurant owners choose Mr Sofa

- Made to fit. We build to your room, your tables and your look.
- Honest advice. If a cheaper option will work for your room, we say so.
- Fair prices. Direct from the maker, with no middle layer.
- On-time delivery. We agree a date in writing and keep to it.
- Over 5 years in Delhi. Mr Sofa, by Ramesh Master Ji, has been making sofas for homes and commercial spaces in Delhi for more than five years.
How do I keep restaurant sofas clean and looking new?
Wipe spills right away. Vacuum seats once a day. Deep clean every few months, depending on the cover. Never use harsh cleaners on leatherette or leather, because they dry out and crack the surface. Rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly.
Quick care by cover:
- Leatherette: damp cloth and mild soap. Dry it right after.
- Fabric: blot spills, do not rub. Use a fabric cleaner made for upholstery.
- Velvet: brush gently in one direction. Test any cleaner on a hidden spot first.
- Leather: wipe dust, then condition every few months.
We give you a short care card with every order.
FAQ’s
How do I choose the best restaurant sofa manufacturer in Delhi?
Check five things: can they show real restaurant projects, will they build to your size, do they tell you the foam and fabric specs, do they give a written quote, and will they agree a delivery date in writing. A maker who answers all five clearly is a safe choice.
What is the difference between booth seating and banquette seating?
A booth has a tall back, usually with a table in front, and gives guests privacy. A banquette is a long bench along a wall, often with a lower back. Banquettes fit more guests in a narrow space. Booths feel more private and cozy.
Which fabric is best for restaurant sofas?
For busy restaurants, leatherette and stain-resistant commercial fabric are the easiest to keep clean. For lounges and fine dining, velvet or leather looks richer but needs more care. Pick a fabric rated 40,000 Martindale rubs or more for daily restaurant use.
Is a wooden frame or a metal frame better?
Neither is better in every case. A wooden frame feels warm and suits classic styles. A metal frame is slim and strong and suits modern rooms. Both last if they are built well. We help you choose based on your look and budget.
What foam is used in restaurant sofas?
Restaurant sofas should use high-density foam. Many commercial specs use seat foam of about 35 to 50 kg per cubic metre, which keeps its shape under daily use. Low-density foam sinks within months.
How much does a restaurant sofa cost in Delhi?
Single restaurant sofas on online listings range from about ₹11,500 to ₹27,000 per piece. Custom booths and banquettes cost more, based on size, frame, foam and fabric. Send us your plan and we will give you a written quote.
Do you take wholesale or bulk orders?
Yes. We take bulk orders for restaurants, café chains, hotels and interior designers. Larger orders bring the price per piece down, and every sofa matches in size and colour. Tell us how many outlets or seats you need and we will quote it.
How long does it take to make restaurant sofas?
It depends on the size and number of pieces. Small orders take less time than a full restaurant fit-out. We confirm the timeline in your written quote and agree on a delivery date before we start.
